Don Froth’s “10,000cc / Holiday (Dubbed Out)” is Phonica White’s sophomore release and it couldn’t be any more different to Iori’s stripped down dub techno.Don Froth initially appeared on our radar with “Foam” – a laidback, dubby disco number that effortlessly got us all in summer mood, practically teleporting us to his native Venice CA. Forget about such niceties… “10,000cc” is “Foam’s” rowdy sibling. A twisted, bass-heavy stomper of a track, that takes disco, dub-step and punk-funk, spins them in blender and spits out one of the rudest basslines we’ve heard in a while. We’re talking big here – even Giles Peterson is a fan.On the flip “Holiday (Dubbed Out)” returns to more familiar territory… Laidback, dubby disco that instantly brings to mind “Foam” without being a carbon copy. It’s breezy, summery and very organic in an analog sort of way. Limited vinyl pressing of 444 copies – hand stamped and numbered. Special artwork by Pedro Carvalho de Almeida.

month power hunker in Chet's bungalow, Froth releases his self titled
debut album Don Froth. The album is an electronic (dubstep / downtempo)
exploration from conception to birth, pretty much pulling out all of Froth's
personal stops along the way.

Froth's sounds have worldwide support with his 12" FOAM EP selling out in record stores from the UK to Japan. A focus on subbass, heavy rhythm, and minimal hooks gives this undercover bedroom Producer / DJ a hard-hitting groove and original sound. When not behind the decks or engineering new sounds Froth enjoys good coffee, bikes, low wind and 180 south degree angles. Froth’s tracks have gotten airplay on KCRW (LA), WFMU (NY) among others, and have been included in mixes, online radio and compilations.
